The Tibetan Ghau was used to carry sacred relics, amulets and medicinal herbs, and served as protection during travel. The ghau can be worn hanging from the neck or on a waistband or belt.
The ghau are made by a small group of Tibetan refugee artisans currently living in Nepal.
